Salman Khan’s production company and his Bajrangi Bhaijaan director Kabir Khan have confirmed they will work together on a movie to be released during the Eid festival next year 2017.
Kabir Khan said that shooting will start in Ladakh in the month of July – “I’m sure we will have as much fun making it as we did while shooting Bajrangi Bhaijaan.’’
Salman Khan Films- chief operating office Amar Butala said on social media that the firm is “delighted to bring together the winning combination of Salman and Kabir again after the remarkable success of Bajrangi Bhaijaan. The film will release on Eid 2017 and we hope this film will be as loved as Bajrangi Bhaijaan.”
The beautiful Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone, who launched her career opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Om Shanti Om, will co-star in the film, this is gonna be her first film with Salman khan . There is still a suspense about whether the film is a love story or an action thriller.
Currently Salman Khan is shooting director Ali Abbas Zafar’s Sultan, in which he plays as Sultan Ali Khan, a 40-year-old wrestler from Haryana who has battles in the ring and in his personal life where as Deepika is busy making her Hollywood debut with Vin Diesel, Nina Dobrev and Samuel L. Jackson in D.J. Caruso’s xXx: The Return of Xander Cage. Referring to Deepika and Jackson, Caruso enthused on Twitter: “Seeing these 2 together was a director’s dream.”
We also got to know that Salman Khan is interested in starring in the sequel to S.S. Rajamouli’s Telugu/Tamil fantasy Eega/Naan Ee, the saga of a young man who after being murdered is reincarnated as a fly to protect the young woman he loved. Dubbed into Hindi, it was released as Makkhi.
Rajamouli’s father, writer Vijayendra Prasad, who wrote the screenplay of Bajrangi Bhaijaan, said the idea for the sequel came from Steven Spielberg’s E.T. : The Extra-Terrestrial. If Rajamouli decides to make the sequel it would be after the release of Baahubali Part 2 in 2017.
After delivering two blockbusters with Salman Khan –“Ek Tha Tiger” and “Bajrangi Bhaijaan”, director Kabir Khan is set to collaborate with Salman Khan again.
